Royal Marines Exploring Ice Crevasses in Antarctica
Climbing through mysterious ice chambers, these figures are Royal Marines exploring the stunning beauty of Antarctica.
At first glance it’s difficult to tell if these commandoes are under water – instead they were making their way through a deep blue wilderness.
They are from the Royal Navy’s ice patrol ship HMS Protector, which has ventured further south than ever before during a delivery of vital supplies to a research station.
