F'ing awesome! Bad editing, bad music, bad fashion, with a few bad speakers thrown in. Regardless, I enjoyed the video. A very defining time for the US Navy.

The only thing left of the 1974 navy is a few of the carriers (Enterprise which is set for decomm, Nimitz and Eisenhower-- which were both PCUs in 1974), The the ex-USS Shadwell, the USS Constitution (which was being restored at the time for the Bicentennial celebration), the last of the Tarawa class LHAs USS Peleliu which was under construction then, the Ponce, the Denver, and the two LCCs Blue Ridge and Mount Whitney....thats a whopping 10 ships. But hey, it was 38 years ago....

The same year I was born.

My bad, forgot about the ex-USS Foster...the only non carrier surface combatant left of 1974 US Navy still in some type of Navy service.
