Well, ive got Sennheiser HD202. I find them to be pretty good.
My Sennheiser HD203 broke so I replaced it with Audio-Technica ATH-M30.
It got good review so we'll see once I receive my order.
I've never purchased headphones more than $50 in my life.
I know some people that are crazy and spend $1000s on a single pair of headphones.

I've used two pairs of Sony MDR-7509HDs for years but I'm starting to not like them. They're over ear (which I like) but the ear pad covering is VERY thin. So thin that after several years of 5 o'clock shadow, at times, it's started to wear the covering to where it's starting to flake away. PITA. Granted I've had them both for over a decade but still. (They redesigned them at one point so they look a bit different. Have never done a side-by-side test.) They do sound great and have a coil cord (which I like sometimes and hate sometimes.)
Astro A40. My ears are fully sexed when I use them every time.
A few $100 is kind of the miniumum for an actual good set of headphones. This is also affected by the source/setup.
These are my home ones, running through a DAC and Headphone amplifier to my PC
Denon AH-5000 with some custom bits.
Ipod with Rockbox OS setup, Shure SE530

I have Sennheiser HD 555. They are great!
Plus I have a pair of Sennheiser PMX 680 for the gym.
My ears deserve the very best.
I have terrible luck with headphones so I always go cheap. No need for me to buy expensive.
i used a pair of $4.00 sony on the ear headphones for about 10 years. they recently broke. i bought a $50 pair of wicked headphones on which the connector broke the first day i owned them. junk. i went to walmart and bought a $20 pair of sony MDRzx100 over the ear headphones. Cheap, built like a rock and better quality sound than the more expensive Wicked and Dr. Dre sets i looked at. From now on ill only buy Sony headphones.
Personally, i think earbuds suck. Low quality sound, no bass and really annoying to get to stay in your ear. I prefer old style over-the-ear ones.
Logitech G35. Good sound quality and built in mic with good software. My old Sennheisers were better, but they fell apart.![]()
AKG DT150 closed back studio headphones. Easy to fix if they break, built like a tank and sound brilliant
