my 4th great grandfather served in the War of 1812 in Ltc. John Connells Virginia Militia, 1st Regiment as a private. An uncle, was doing a construction project in New Orleans and found some cannon balls (from the battle there?) during the excavations, course they could have been civil war era.
So we burned the White House and you all celebrate? ........Right....
So you're a British Regular now?
Ever tried Poutine Hollis? Now there is cooking.
Funny ol' war that one. Lot of powder and lead for no real change. OOI, are the Canucks celebrating it in any way ? Bit of a major event for them, i would have thought.
There were a fair number of celebrations up this way....and as 1 July is Canada day it was just even bigger
