A few interesting scenarios concerning the Russians sending ships and marines to Syria:
I don't get the article saying russia has no interest to intervene in Syria, the last thing they want is for it to become a islamist dictatorship that will then support the islamist radical insurgency in it's borders. I think Putins just playing it safe, setting up a sanctuary for the elites of the regime and putting more eyes and ears on the ground. Giving themselves the option of assassinations to steer things in the right direction is also a possibility.
The Russians are going to go down there, get things back in order and reestablish the Syrian Republic from scratch... it shall be called Southern South Ossetia.
Oh for the love of all that is good and awesome, didn't we just finish discussing this?
Mean ones, I'm sure. What are their intentions?
Partying it up at Kiel, as discussed in the other thread.
But Kiel is something like Syria
You have Israeli submarines and a suppressed sunni muslim majority
I know what their intentions are. Apparently there is a monster of a military exercise planned. Iran, Russia and China with 90,000 soldiers running the largest military exercise ever held in the Middle East.
