Food here is still cheap. Eating healthy is expensive. That's why we are a nation of fat fvcks, processed food is cheap and plentiful. I remember shopping in Cali in the early 90's. A stereo system that was $500 then is like $150 now. People rather have that sweet home entertainment system than have a healthy diet. It amazes me, people buy cigarettes and beer and eat ramen.

The crash of housing prices directly accounted for three-quarters of the loss...
So 75% of it was not real as it was tied to the housing bubble...

Price rise and inflation are normal... you get less for your money, but then again you have more money to get less for.
Twenty years ago you'd have made 2.5k a month and get yourself a decent car for 20k, nowadays you bring home 4k and all of a sudden your decent car costs 35k.

Too bad returning the US National Debt to levels of early '90's isn't as equally easy.

Yes, but with food we now get less for more. That doesn't make sense to me. A loaf of bread is 2/3 of the size from just five years ago, yet it is more expensive.

    Wtf over?!

Things like cereal are more expensive than a few years ago but they package it smaller too. Tricky ****ers.

I met some pretty big farmers recently and I know they don't set the damned prices either - They get gouged and then we get gouged. The corporations win.

What's not to miss? A red hot economy? Surpluses? He would get my vote if he ran again.
