    1. Why are there like 25 kids, in a normal elementary school in NY there'd probably be quite a few more. Right?

    2. Why aren't they singing a normal song like God Bless America or America the Beautiful or the Anthem?

    3. Who is "Turner", you know, the guy's name in the political sign that's in the shot the whole time.

    4. Who are all these white guys exhorting a bunch of latino looking and at least one Downs syndrome looking kid to sing?

    5. Was it really that f*cking important to have them singing on camera that they changed venues? They aren't that good.

    6. Are you f*cking serious about "Liberals"? It's some asshole black guy yelling about Republicans.

    7. Again, are you f*cking serious?

It is likely one classroom full of kids. The number fits.

'God Bless the USA' is not a 'normal song'? WTF ???

Bob Turner is the guy in the suit, a political candidate who attended the event to support the kids who were banned from singing at the school.

You are getting seriously weird here.

Wow! Somebody had a video camera or an iPhone, and recorded the kids at their singing event. That *never* happens!

Obviously he must have been a conservative.

The Principle banned God Bless the USA from a Kindergarden ceremony about a week ago because of its "Adult Lyrics" and didnt want to offend children of different cultures. the Schools chancellor agreed but a substantial amount of parents disagreed since Justin Beibers "Baby" was allowed.

Bob Turner is a GOP candidate for senate and had arranged to sing the song with the kids on the playground, but whe he arrived was told he couldnt as some carnival was loading/unloading so the decision was made to sing it on the street next to the playground. thats when two factions of parents got involved. One faction believes the criticism of the principle is racist while the other disagrees. two of the men Jorge Rosado husband of the PTA head and race card thrower versus Luz Lozada fought through the song.

Now personally I dont like the idea of putting kids into political commercials as it smacks of the Obama Jugend song

But this was just stupid on the parents part. Leave the kids out of it.

If someone had set it up from the beginning as a commercial using the kids, you would have a point. It apparently started perfectly innocently with the kids singing a song. The principal, and then Bob Turner, and then the parents turned it into a political squabble. There was no initial intent to use the kids for political purposes. I think the fact that it turned into a controversy was likely a total shock to the teacher who had planned for the kids to sing the song in the first place. Up until pretty recently, schoolkids singing a pro-America song was the norm, and in no way a cause for controversy. It is still that way in most nations. I guess we have just become a bit more 'progressive'.

Does anyone else see how disgusting this is to bring kids into politics like this? I don't know who is doing what, but all sides are ****ing sick. Same thing with the Obama video.

does this school also banned singing the National Anthems or recite Pledge of Allegiance for "offending students"? Both make the mention of "God".

Well the Principle wasnt present and Turner had arranged this ahead of time. the main fault here is the bickering parents. My Fault with Turner is you shouldnt have campaign signs among the kids, thats wrong. My Fault with the Principle is her not realizing this is the United States of America, not some third world ****hole and if you are going to censor a song due to adult lyrics why allow Baby? those are hardly appropriate lyrics either.

    Agreed.

So far as the 'adult lyrics'...

If tomorrow all the things were gone I’d worked for all my life,
And I had to start again with just my children and my wife.
I’d thank my lucky stars to be living here today,
‘Cause the flag still stands for freedom and they can’t take that away.

And I’m proud to be an American where at least I know I’m free.
And I won’t forget the men who died, who gave that right to me.
And I’d gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today.
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land God bless the U.S.A.

From the lakes of Minnesota, to the hills of Tennessee,
across the plains of Texas, from sea to shining sea,

From Detroit down to Houston and New York to LA,
Well, there’s pride in every American heart,
and it’s time to stand and say:

I’m proud to be an American where at least I know I’m free.
And I won’t forget the men who died, who gave that right to me.
And I’d gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today.
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land God bless the U.S.A.

-- Lee Greenwood, 'God Bless the U.S.A.' --
.... I am not seeing them. And in Justin Beber's song....

You know you love me, I know you care
Just shout whenever, and I'll be there
You are my love, you are my heart
And we will never, ever, ever be apart

Are we an item? Girl, quit playin'
"We're just friends," what are you sayin'?
Said "there's another," and looked right in my eyes
My first love broke my heart for the first time

And I was like baby, baby, baby, oh
    Like baby, baby, baby, no
    Like baby, baby, baby, oh
I thought you'd always be mine, mine

    Baby, baby, baby, oh
    Like baby, baby, baby, no
    Like baby, baby, baby, oh
I thought you'd always be mine, mine

For you, I would have done whatever
And I just can't believe we're here together
And I wanna play it cool, but I'm losin' you
I'll buy you anything, I'll buy you any ring

And I'm in pieces, baby fix me
And just shake me 'til you wake me from this bad dream
I'm goin' down, down, down, down
And I just can't believe my first love won't be around

And I'm like baby, baby, baby, oh
    Like baby, baby, baby, no
    Like baby, baby, baby, oh
I thought you'd always be mine, mine

    Baby, baby, baby, oh
    Like baby, baby, baby, no
    Like baby, baby, baby, oh
I thought you'd always be mine, mine

When I was 13, I had my first love
There was nobody that compared to my baby
And nobody came between us who could ever come above
She had me going crazy, oh I was starstruck
She woke me up daily, don't need no Starbucks

    She made my heart pound
I skip a beat when I see her in the street
And at school on the playground
But I really wanna see her on a weekend
She know she got me dazin' 'cause she was so amazin'
And now my heart is breakin' but I just keep on sayin'

    Baby, baby, baby, oh
    Like baby, baby, baby, no
    Like baby, baby, baby, oh
I thought you'd always be mine, mine

    Baby, baby, baby, oh
    Like baby, baby, baby, no
    Like baby, baby, baby, oh
I thought you'd always be mine, mine

    I'm all gone
    (Yeah, yeah, yeah)
    (Yeah, yeah, yeah)
    Now I'm all gone
    (Yeah, yeah, yeah)
    (Yeah, yeah, yeah)
    Now I'm all gone
    (Yeah, yeah, yeah)
    (Yeah, yeah, yeah)
Now I'm all gone, gone, gone, gone
    I'm gone

    -- Justin Beber, 'Baby' --
.... I am also not seeing 'adult lyrics'. The subject is a love song, so I guess you can say the theme of the song is adult.

I went to an Elementary school. Strangely enough, local politicians never came around asking us to sing dumbass songs so they could film them. It's a lame song anyway. Get over it.
