I'd like to see some of the African countries get some - especially for AMISOM and/or ECOWAS. The MRAPs we have might be too big for Africa, though.
Apparently some of the used MRAPs might end up in Tajikistan, Kirgyzstan and/or Uzbekistan.

Why so much hates towards the MRAP? We loved them.Honestly tieing gear down on the inside.Ratchet straps man.If your in combat conditions I would rather be in an MRAP.The ratio towards the amount of IED hits to KIA was very low. When I was in country it was some thing like 1 KIA from being inside an MRAP.I'm licensed to operate the MRAP in 4x config and 6x with a mine roller. They are fast and can get you from point A to point B no problem.

No hate from me, just limited applications on my neck of the woods.

I think this pic is from A-stan and the guy in front of the MRAP is a Marine. I wonder what they need these for as they are not primarily used for offensive roles.

The fine dust will be there every time they do maintenance on them, for years on.

I wonder what use SK will make of them? Perhaps for DMZ patrols?
Their main non-armorer, wheeled troop carriers (which are basically the jeep type from ww2) are in need of upgrading.

Peacekeeping missions, and/or thinking ahead to an occupation scenario in the North.

They are definitively safer than a truck in offensive roles. Fact is that the north has millions of mines to spread...

They were mostly built with off-the shelf commercially available powertrain components (the Navistar International MaxxPro being a good example) so finding spares should be as easy as ordering some from the local heavy truck shop.

Mate, once you ride in a Bushmaster you'll never go back. How do those MaxxPro's compare with the Cougar's?
