Hurriyet Daily News reports it, but Hurriyet itself and other Turkish media doesn't. That's strange..
themacedonian i believe your souce RT again cause nothing about shot down and nothing about what Erdogan said at Turkish Newspapers, seems RT editors need to be careful when they translate or they must use their brain when they writing news instead of their asses.
Hurriyet Daily News reports it, but Hurriyet itself and other Turkish media doesn't. That's strange..
The English and Turkish versions of Hurrieyet appear to be reporting this in quite a different fashion. Perhaps one of the Turkish speakers could check? The autotrans of the turkish is pretty garbled.

Just as I was asking: Thanks Tango-1
Turkish version only says that Syria apologized Turkey. The reason is still unclear officially.
So they apologized. I wonder what Turkish official response will be. How are the Turks on this forum viewing this incident, what should the response be?
Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will arrange an extraordinary security meeting and meet Interior Minister İdris Naim Şahin, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu, Defense Minister İsmet Yılmaz and Chief of General Staff Necdet Özel following this afternoon’s crash of a Turkish war plane over Syrian waters.
The meeting will be focused on the plane crash, as well as the recent terrorist attacks in Turkey.
The meeting will be taking place at the prime minister's residence.
Mate in Turkish sources they said ''üzüntü'' which means sadness cause plane down at diplomatic language we are using same word ''üzüntü&sadness'' for example when terrorist attack happen in Syria but seems who translated that words confused a little but if they really shot down plane they cant escape with simple words.
Assad must be punished and removed from Syria . If NATO decide to hit Assad regime Turkey should join compain. Assad regime have supported trained and armed PKK terror organisation since 1978. Turkey lost 10K security personels 10K civilians by pkk attacks. Now payback time .
Unlike the last incident this new one has resulted in the direct loss of a military aircraft not just some bullets landing on Turkish soil. and with the fate of the crew still unknown and might be being held by the Syrian's the Turkish government is going to have a hard time letting this one slip..
