Boy howdie Kote!! You sure find ways to **** up most inane threads. Who gives a **** how many people play baseball? Why do you have to argue every single thing posted?
Baseball is out. Basta!! Who cares why? If internationalnes (?) is the issue, than it's a sh!t issue. Millions of people play it all over the world. Whatever the reason, it's out. \
I'll still watch Usain Bolt run like the wind, and watch the discus throwers, and the hammer throwers, and the rowers. Rowing is somehow my favorite. I guess it's the stamina involved, which I don't have any of.
Hot chicks are #1 of course.
Edit:
Only 300,000 people play baseball outside of the U.S.? Are you ****ing insane?
I dont think the overall numbers are that important. The sport just has to be at a decent level in more than one country to be represented at the olympics. Like if something is played by 500 million Chinese but noone else why should be at the Olympics when a Chinese championship can cover it just fine.
Is there any conventional war brewing to save us from boredom of "summer olympics"?
Honestly Summer Olympics only means its 2 more years until........ Curling ****KKKKK YEAHHHHHHHHHHH
... what part of the age eligible for the olympics did you missed? Now I have nothing against baseball, I told your compadre. It is a sport like any other in the us, rule heavy, infrastructure heavy, personnel heavy. Simply UNAFFORDABLE for a lot of countries out there. Not even mentionning the appeal.
The US will dominate, Russia and China will pick up a few medals and I will have a beer and a wank.
That how it will go down. Thread closed.
Apparently you've never been to the U.S. and seen the "ballparks".
It's a fence behind the homeplate, and three bases. That's all it takes. You don't even need a fence. It's like soccer. You take off your shoes, make goal posts out of them, and play barefoot.
Whatever the reasons, it's out. Let's leave it at that.
Okay synchronized swimming is an odd one.. maybe kept for tradition.
Table tennis is a popular sport in many parts of the world with many clubs as its easy to organize
Badminton has many hobby players but I guess its professional base is mostly in Asia, same as table tennis
Handball is rather big in Europe with many professional leagues.
On a global scale: 166 member federations - approximately 795,000 teams and 19 million players.
