She is hot, but I saw Marija Vrsaljko. I am on my phone. You'll have to find the pics yourself.

I was refering to Afro-European's post. Phelps barely qualified in the US trials, barely qualified in the Olympic heats and took 4th in the final. It's not totally unexpected or a shocker at all really if you've been following Phelps even passively.

I expect he'll pick up some medals in other races though.

Italians should have the manners to let us have 1 medal

She lost both matches at sudden death which really got me

    Oh well.

Tough break for the Korean ladies v-ball team, but I'm glad the US won. Quite a few cuties on both sides of the net.

It was a good effort considering US Volleyball reputation.

    After day 1.

Am curious if they can continue their upward trend though... there will be a slew of doping accusations if they do continue to win events they used to play no role in.

I wonder if lead paint counts as dope.

As said before, doping cannot upset technique...

Was the 4x100 freestyle relay an exciting race? (the one the Australian women won gold in)

Lead was very close the whole way. 3rd through 5th changed several times. Quite a good watch.

Listened to it on the radio as we went to work early this morning and the caller was going off.

Is it me or the Olympics becoming a farce.

    1. The likes of Australian Nick D'Arcy getting into the team, even though lacking morals. http://www.smh.com.au/sport/olympics...210-1skux.html
    2. The selection of a certain big name athlete who underperformed, when others, who beat said athlete don't make the team.
    3. Betting plunges on inside information yet "no action". http://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/olym...727-22xjj.html
    4. Swathes of seating empty yet the average punter can't get in? http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/olympi...0331--oly.html
