Decision errors seem to be a tradition of Olympic boxing

Watched some of that Volleyball between USA and Turkey, while picking up pizza. That is about all I can say, seems US were doing good.

It's not just cheating, but a MASSIVE amount of cheating.

Between the years of 1992-1998, some 32 Chinese swimmers were caught doping. This include World silver medalist Yuan Yuan, who during a meet in Austrillia, was caught with at least 2 dozen syringes and a bunch of blood enhancing shots in her bag (they were hidden in a thermo bottle). These doping charges were the reason why the Chinese lost the bid to host the 2000 Olympics. And these are only swimmers. Rmember the Chinese track and field athletes and their "Turtle with Ginseng" soup fiasco? Umm...Yeah...

And also, it's not just the Chinese. With U.S. there is the whole entire Mario Jones fiasco but also Irish swimmer Michelle something (forgot her last name). She won 4 golds in Atlanta and immediately, charges of doping were flowing simply because the best finish was a year before, and she placed 6th in the worlds in 1995! All of a sudden, she comes out of nowhere to win 4 golds...Sorry. too good to be true here....

And that is just the thing. Lost in all these shuffle is another double gold winner from China, Sun Yang. However, Sun was expected to win. He was a winner in 2008 and his improvement has been incremental and already seen. So he winning...no surprise. Ye's has been a surprise cause in less than 2 years, she was able to shave 5 seconds off of her personal best. When that happens, and consider with all the doping history, China plus others, it immediately raises everyone's alarm clock!

Yeah, there are now reports that are surfacing that paint how bad that went with China back in 1992, when many of the so called E. German "scientists" went to China and China officially made doping a plan of attack to get their atheletes an edge for the Olympics. Again, 1992-1998, some 32 swimmers alone were caught. One Chinese swimmer remembered back then that one day in 1991, after practicing, one of her trainers came in and handed her some pills and told her to jus ttake them. Such were her "conditioning", that she took them without any questions..again and again and again. It's not until she were busted that she learned that those pills contained anabotic steriods and other blood enhancers. Chinese are still doing it back in 2009, finally, they got one of their gymnastic gold medal stripped cause they were using too young gymnists. Hopefully by 2018 or 2020 or so, when Beijing was a long gone memory, the ICO would come to their senses and strip China of their olympic gymnastic golds also.

Yes, but again, China already have a big black red mark on their records already and then there was 2008 Olympics with using way too young girls with fake passports that contain fake birthdays to "prove" they are old enough. Remember this is after 2009, when one of their gymnists got stripped of her gold in 2000 after the IOC "discovered" she was too young. So certainly, China got a huge past history of cheating.

And besides, what was said about China's massive state run "Gold Metal Producing Industry" is true. Wu Ming Xia, the Chinese diver who won golds here was never told about her grandpa death because it would upset her training. Same with when her mom was fight breast cancer. Now, if it happened recently, i can accept tjhat. But imagine not knowing your grandpa death for over a year or over six months, not knowing your mom may go due to cancer! That's just borderline inhumane IMO!

    Not many.

If i remembered correctly, even those that wasn't perma banned by the IOC was perma banned by the Chinese government when they were caught for simple fact that allowing them continue on would "cause the motherland to loose face". So basically, the Chinese government dopped them up to the eyeballs in various drugs and when they were caught, tossed them aside like a bunch of used condoms in order to hide their own culpability in the whole entire fiasco. Remember Sydney? Some 46 Chinese top of the line atheletes were told not to show their faces in Austrillia or risks severe punishments cause Chinese feared they would be caught doping and ruin China's chance at hosting the 2008 Olympics. Such is the way it goes in China

Not really. Not everyone is alarmed. At least the folks at IOC aren't alarmed. She is guilty until proven innocent? Is that how we do things? You have the right to be suspicious. Your suspicions have been established.

    WEll, yes of course that.

But again, when you got such a huge record going against you, can you be surprised when again, someone suddenly improving her personal best by over 5 seconds in less than 2 years, that there will be people questioning you? Again, it's not just the Chinese records, but people like Marion Jones, that Michelle chick from Ireland who won 4 golds in Atlanta then got perma banned due to doping, and then there is Ben Johnson (ESPECIALLY him). People tends to ask questions since the scenario of "If it is too good to be true, then it probably is" has happened more than we like to think.

But yeah, this time it might be different since both Sun and Ye was trained in Austrillia by Aussie coaches who were paid 2X to 3X more than they would've gotten by training their own (and that's excluding all the bonuses they are getting. Sun gets gold, these coaches gets a VERY healthy bonus. Ye gets gold, they get another VERY healthy bonus, as much as 100K per gold if rumors were to believed). Especially Sun's improvment have been incremental and can be clearly seen. Which is why no one is questioning him.
