Anti-racism ad campaign in Minnesota town called 'racist' by critics

A controversy over an anti-racism campaign some local critics say is itself racist is roiling the Iron Range city of Duluth, Minn.
The Un-Fair Campaign addresses what it calls ‘white privilege’ with billboards, posters and online videos assigning guilt to people with taglines like, “Is white skin really fair skin?” and “I am a white man. That’s unfair.” The ads are plastered across a city where 90 percent of the population is Caucasian.
The campaign aims to “raise awareness about white privilege in our community, provide resources for understanding and action, and facilitate dialogue and partnership that result in fundamental, systemic change towards racial justice,” according to its website.
A coalition of co-sponsors including the City of Duluth, the University of Minnesota-Duluth, the NAACP, League of Women Voters and the YWCA hopes the effort will “result in fundamental, systemic change towards racial justice.”

Not all european nations had colonial empires and enslaved other people so its more racists to put every white person in to one bag. On the other hand its funny how africans and african americans forget that arabs did more harm to them than western empires. But we live in a hypocritical and ignorant world.

Yippers. But it is easier to rally against the evil white than it is to look at the rest of the worlds history of violence, bigotry, slavery, racism of one group or culture against another. im sick of seeing the double race standard. all hell breaks loose whenever someone says ANYTHING about the black race, even when most of the stereotypes exist for a reason. But its okay for blacks and liberal whites with a guilt syndrome to stereotype and talk smack about whites all day.
instead of blaming whites for everything, blacks need to step up to the plate, acknowledge theres a reason so many stereotypes exist, and address the issues plaguing their youth.
Stereotypes or not, racism is when you apply stereotypes to all members of a group and discriminate based on that, and not on individual criteria.
Though I agree it often goes the other way. When I'm called a racist because I'm white, the sheer paradox of it just confuses me so much I have a hard time answering.
Just so you all know. You are only guilty of the actions you do. What someone did 100 years before your birth is nothing. What matters is you actions now.
The ad makes no sense and the people in it are muppets.
