They must be handing out cold weather clothing in hell, as I agree with Chulo on this one.

Since your here, let me ask you. The same thing happened under Bush's admin in 2006 right? Lots of guns walked and were lost.

You're seriously going to keep up an assertion that was retracted by the Justice Department last week?

The office of the Assistant Attorney General responded on June 18, barely under Grassley’s deadline:

Attorney General Holder’s testimony referred to briefing paper prepared for Attorney General Mukasey in advance of a November 16, 2007 meeting with the Mexican attorney general … As we explained in a letter to Chairman Issa on March 16, 2012, and as you note, this briefing paper concerned the case of Fidel Hernandez, not Wide Receiver as the Attorney General inadvertently stated at the hearing.”

None yet and hopefully it won't. It should have never happened period, but my point was it started in 2006.

Yes. He may be ineffective about some things, but both parties are anti-gun, so he will just be setting things in motion since the 1980's.

    This is what its about

    Brian Terry

    Jaime Zapata

Not protecting Holders career. And instead of desperately trying as usual to blame Bush we should be trying to find out why these Guns were lost and who murdered these 2 LEO's, not trying to deflect from Obama or Holder. time to own up like men.

The operations launched earlier under Project Gunrunner were different from F&F. In the first operation guns were let go across the border, but the Mexican authorities knew about those and the plan was for the guns to be surveilled back to the users and follow up arrests made on the spot.

In F&F, the guns were walked with no intention of following up until the guns were recovered later. The Mexican authorities were not notified and there was no cross border coordination.

I don't care what Wikipedia says, the operations were different in scope and outcome.

Thanks Lac. That is not much of a plan, should have never happened.

The prior ops had a good scope and were pretty well thought out. F&F, I have no idea what those folks were thinking.

Nope, but **** Chaney claimed executive privilege when questioned about his discussions with members of the oil industry. I thought it was BS then, just I think this administration is pulling bitc* move now, but it's legal.

I can almost guarantee they saw images of press conferences, promotions, and fat consulting checks when they retired. I can almost see the bullet comments they were planning on using on their resumes to land consulting gigs with DHS, DOJ, and or with a contractor, if things hand worked out they way they wanted them to.
