I would be going if I wasn't doing another funeral in STL. I understand that this is last minute but if you can spare the time and you are in the area please help bring the soldier home. The funeral is Monday 25 June 2012 at 1015 in LAWRENCEVILLE, Ill. Thanks
This was on another forum, I felt the more people in that area to help out, the better.

Lawrenceville is a city in Lawrence County, Illinois, along the Embarras River. The population was 4,745 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Lawrence County.
Lawrenceville is located in southeast Illinois, northwest of Vincennes, Indiana

Directly east of STL across Ill on the Ind border. Might wish to let folks in southern Indiana and western Kentucky (Ft Knox area) know also.

Anyone notify the PGR's? they usually can pull a escort and buffer out of thin air.

I've always believe no Funeral should be protested not just Military. Its the families time for the grieving process. but of course there will be assholes saying freedom of speech about this.

I've been to a few funerals for young Marines. At each funeral the Patriot Guard did a fantastic job. They were ready to insulate family and friends from these people. In talking with them they use the noise from their motorcylces to neutralize the Westboro people.

Another thing I learned from the Guard is the Westboro people announce they will picket every military funeral, but actually attend very few.

One Marine funeral I attended was in Dubois, Indiana. It's an isolated, tiny farming community about seven miles from Jasper, which is a town of about 15,000-20,000. Had the Westboro folks showed up, I can honestly say I'm not sure their safety could have been guaranteed.

Wouldn't be the first time. Maybe someone will hit the mark one day.

We've been lucky i guess in that there hasn't been a single issue with any funeral our unit has done. They did threaten to protest a funeral once so our local Marine Riders provided an escort but they never showed.

On the hour of his death...the trembling WBC preacher opened his eyes to the blinding light.

Lo! The Kingdom of God, more magnificent than he could possibility imagine. "Praise...praise be..." He whispered. Tears of joy filled his eyes as he walked purposefully towards the pearly gates.

As he wiped the tears from his eyes, he beholds a majestic figure. He fell to his knees:"Lord! I've come home! Your most faithful son has come home..."

"WRONG!" A voice like a thunder clap answered. "It is I, Michael. And YOU are in for a treat."

    A booming laughter followed.

Those lunatics should take their operation global and go picket a taliban funeral. God will protect them, surely.

Indeed. The lack of respect and any positive humanity from these people give me the chills. I think they are closest thing to evil.
