How do you know the Muslim Brotherhood is going to take power? Do you know something we don't?

Yes. I know history and just look at all the other countries who went to trough a Arab 'spring'.

Do you think any of them know that or care? They're spreading disinformation to tug at the heartstrings of other Christian's. Most of the Sunni's who live in neighborhoods with churches have great respect for the ancient sites. To most of them, it's Syrian heritage that's being destroyed.

The "Arab Spring" is not a single event. Just because something happens in one country, doesn't mean it will in the other.

You sound quite naive. Even in a traditionally liberal-minded state like Tunisia the moderates lost the elections to the conservatives.

You think Assad is protecting Christian's and you're calling me naive? If you want to compare apples to oranges and believe simplistic explanations for why the Middle East is f'd up, be my guest. You act like Sunni's are a bunch of rabid dogs that if aren't kept repressed will automatically start slaughtering Christian's.

I never said Assad is protecting Christians. I only stated that most Christians are fighting for Assad. I think you're quite capable to draw your own conclusions based on that fact. Not a simplistic view, but a historically motivated view. If the Arab 'spring' showed us something, it is that only the conservatives have won.

The amount of denial that even just possibly Christians and other religions might be in danger over Arab Spring happenings is truly astounding. It seems even the possibility of FSA wrongdoing is being outright rejected in order to justify supporting them.

I guess I don't get all the selective outrage. Christian's and Muslim's are sharing the same fate in Syria for the most part. They're both getting killed by indiscriminate artillery fire and tortured by the Mukhabarat for doing next to nothing. Seems like way too many people have fallen for the "Assad's protecting minorities, if he goes you're all doomed" line.

I'm not saying that Christian's haven't been harmed by the Arab Spring or that they don't have legitimate fears, but until I see some real proof of the FSA massacring Christian's I call bogus. Those photos of the guy "ransacking" the church were faked.

This is a Christian girl from Syria who was tortured for protesting:

Funny, because when you switch the words around, the exact same thing holds true of other certain members as well

Christians aren't targeted by Assad just because they are christians, but because they happen to live in a neighborhood full with insurgents or because some join the uprising against him. Still blameworthy, but quite different if you compare it to fundamentalists who attack christians just because they are christians. And that will happen if Assad falls and the extremists will take over.

Maybe but it does not make the statement less true.
