my premise is that once all of these nice provisions are in place, how are they going to stop people from abusing it?

why buy insurance ahead of time when your a-okay, when if you have a condition you can just go and buy some insurance to take care of it.

Never happen, to my knowledge there has never been a supreme court reversal in the history of our nation. (could be wrong, and if I am please link me to the decision that got flipped)

PS. I am a conservative, and by no means back this retardedness.

I seriously don't get you guys. Obama is an anti American terrorist because he went to Jeremiah Wright's church and was on a board of directors with Bill Ayers.

Romney champions a nearly identical health care system to "Obamacare" during his tenure as the head executive of a state and you don't connect the dots on that one. Either he was horribly wrong during the only time he was in elected office or he's telling people what they want to hear to get this job. Either he's incompetent or disingenuous.

I think Obamacare is completely convoluted mess but special interests will not allow it to be simple. They will not.

That is not what you said. You said Repubs would not implement those provisions because they would not work. That is what I took issue with. I agreed with you about them not working.

I duno, you tell us. Surely past associations can indicate your character. In respect to your statement, I don't think he is one nor do I think it's a valid argument with regards to healthcare. Are his intentions on his issue good? Sure, he's all about what's good for the American people as long as its the "right thing to do". I think many peoples issues are how this was brought up and how it was passed.

Like mentioned above. I think many people have issues with how it was presented and passed. The rage here isn't about healthcare for our brothers and sisters who are unfortunate enough to not have it but against the closed room deals, the lies, and lack of transparency. What we were told isn't what we will get.

Just my 2 cents and if you think I am crazy or out of line, I plead Obamacare

Oh. Forgot to add a thought.
It's not like them to dictate to an industry, who they can take, what they can take, and how they are going to do it. Unless im horribly mistaken.

I think what they will try to shoot for is increased competition to lower the overall costs of providing healthcare, so much that the insurance companies will start offering those kind of incentives without being told too.

I do not recall anyone calling Obama 'a terrorist', but 'anti-American'? Yeah, in his earlier days, he apparently was, just like most of his peers, hating 'the establishment' was the norm in the leftist circles he traveled in. Why would you think any different?

And? All politicians do this. Romney's powerbase will be the Repubs, so he will have to follow through. If he does not, the political consequences will be quite severe. The Repubs learned this last time they got control of the Congress. They reneged badly on their promises and got their asses kicked out. Romney will want a second term, and will not get it if he does not perform.

It is not simple, whether people 'allow it to be' or not.

"All politicians do this"? What a lovely sentiment. So forgiving and non partisan. Where have I seen that before....Hmmmmm....oh yeah, never.

"Forgiving"? I am "forgiving" no one here. Since I am not a Repub and not voting for Romney, I think you might want to rethink the false conclusions you are jumping to. My opinion of Romney is about the same as yours. I am just saying that circumstances will force him to do his utmost to keep his promise to repeal Obamacare.

No, they won't. Just like Obama didn't close Gitmo.

I have a buddy who bought beach front for 100k, in a secluded area. 3 bedroom.

He made the right decsion I think, would rather wear board shorts, drink beer, fish, and bang hookers than worry about the madness up here.
