I never thought I'd see the day when the Chinese would be better poker players than us. I mean they just push a few chips around the table and we fold.

    Amazing....

No surprise, why fight a losing battle, china wouldn’t have followed those sanctions anyhow.

Exempt..ha. Would it have stop China? No.

This is more politcal pandering IMO.

I wonder what, if anything, the US got in return? Surely we got some sort of good deal... Not.

It's hard to play the game with no leverage.

Leverage. I think it does not mean what you think it means.

Now that is hilarious. How do we think we would like to keep the leadership position in this world if we pull such meaningless stunts? Wonder how will this look to other countries we press into obeying the sanctions. Ehh...

Call me crazy, but I actually think the whole China is our enemy is just a facade. From a realpolitik point of view, the exemption is mutually beneficial.

What's the US gonna do, go to war with China?

The US and China is joined at the hip. It's a "Republican vs Democrat" on a global scale. Business interest is a powerful thing.

    Mutually beneficial nonetheless?
