United Technologies Corp on Thursday admitted selling China software that helped Beijing develop its first modern military attack helicopter, one of hundreds of export control violations over nearly two decades.

They should have the book thrown at 'em, but of course, they'll get a slap on the wrist instead.

What might that "software" be? AutoCAD 9.0 "Design your own Garden with free Attack Chopper template'?

Canada's Pratt and Whitney (engines) Arm of UT is being faulted with the lapse in security and will probably have to pay the US fine involved. Canada as you may not know, is the universal centre of attack chopper design. Actually somebody probably saw it lying around, not being used, and sent it to China for recycling. LOL

PS: Last year the Chinese became the largest immigrant group in Canada. Somebody might want to keep a better eye on their top secrets, eh?
