Post Beretta wants to bring gun store and range to the Las Vegas Strip

    This would be cool!!!

    Las Vegas, NV (KTNV)
-- An Italian company could soon make it possible to purchase or shoot a gun on the Las Vegas Strip. Beretta hopes to open a store along other high-end retailers inside The Shoppes at The Palazzo.

"It's a different market than Dior or Gucci, but it's the kind of brand that people would expect to see here," said Greg Borgel, the planning consultant for Beretta.

"They have actually very few specialty stores, as I understand it, in the U.S. and they see this as a market where there would be people that might be interested in expensive guns," said Borgel.

General Growth Properties, a Chicago-based investment group, owns and manages The Shoppes at The Palazzo. They're requesting a firearms sales permit and a permit for a shooting range.

Just because if people are wearing an overpriced Armani, doesnt mean they have to spent money on an overpriced italian pistol. At least the Armani would make you look good, while wearing a Beretta makes you look like a douchebag with too much money that has more experience in faking do know stuff about european whines, than how to shoot a firearm.

Harry Reid drove out Silver State Armory 2 years ago when he would'nt let them build an underground testing range, what makes anyone think this is going to happen.

Their pistols are made in Accokeek, Maryland for chrissakes.

Pretty sure the "expensive" part would have more to do with their engraved, high end shotguns...

A son of a friend works at Westley Richards...if I win Lotto I'm getting me a double that could through and through an Abrams tank engraved with dragons and sh!t.

I'm surprised one of the high faluttin' Saville Row suit shops haven't partnered with a custom gat shop to sell James Bond suits and Big Game Safari rifles as a package in Vegas yet.....they've got everything else there.

When accidentally in Manchester, VT, a few years ago I shot some clays at Covey & Nye. They had some nice guns, including a few muzzle loaders.

I'm torn as to if I would buy a nice piece of work gun like those with all the engravings and whatnot. I don't think I could bring myself to actually shoot it.
