HSA instructs Border Patrol agents to 'run away' and 'hide' from gunmen

We have armed drug smugglers who sometimes wear Mexican police uniforms rolling around near our borders in convoys of pickup trucks with impunity and this is their course of action. Unbelievable. Their orders should be to call for backup and overwhelm them, and shoot to kill if they don't surrender immediately.

Napolitano is quite the brilliant leader for American homeland security. She made global warming a priority for HSA, creating the “Climate Change and Adaptation Task Force”. She told us that some of the 9/11 hijackers had entered the U.S. across the Canadian border as a justification for beefing security on our northern border instead our southern one. During the Gulf oil spill, she did not know whether or not FEMA or the Coast Guard had any oil cleanup equipment. She honored our returning war veterans by telling American that they might be recruited as domestic terrorists by extremist groups. Now she is telling our Border Patrol agents to run from armed criminals instead of arresting them. These are just a few of her blunders.

It's called the National Guard but they are being pussified when they are deployed to the boarder too.

Not really. The Guard cannot maintain the troop strength required on the Border. Nor is that a proper employment of their skillset. Anymore than the Navy Reserve taking over the Coast Guard's job.

We need a dedicated paramilitary border security force, not a civilian LEO organization.

There are groups that patrol the border but they are not affiliated with the gov nor have any legal status to do so.

Minutemen come to mind.

Sadly the lack of will to secure the border will only breed anger and all sorts of extreme people will come out of the wood work to take the job upon themselves (which we also have).

So the undocumented workers can get a head start to have time to get their bearings and lock in those sat coords via gps. Maybe it's more or less they don't want any more attention down on the border and they hope it all goes away. I really don't know, as it seems rather silly to "just run away" and "hide" from gunmen.

The last thing they want is another deceased border patrol agent.
