I dont *ahem* see this happening.
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000...Tabs%3DarticleEgypt's President-elect Mohammed Morsi made a nod to his base in a speech on Friday when he pledged to seek the release of Sheik Omar Abdel-Rahman from U.S. custody.
Sheik Abdel-Rahman, who is better known as the "blind sheik" is serving a life sentence at a federal penitentiary in North Carolina for his role in planning the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center in New York City.
His detention has become a cause célèbre among hard-line Salafi Islamists whom Mr. Morsi counted on in his runoff against ex-regime loyalist Ahmed Shafiq.
I would like to know his stand on the other "famous" Egyptian.
I dont *ahem* see this happening.
We should say he got shanked in prison and unfortunately hit the bucket![]()
5 Days in and already making outlandish demands.
As we speak that's the problem number 1 that plagues Egyptian society right now.
This is why all the "revolution" happened.
Back to being serious.
The MB is not stupid, they are going to use this demand as a mean to harvest the strong anti-American sentiment of the masses and distract them from other issues and use that anger to rally them for MB goals.

Morsi Promises to Free 'Blind Sheik' from U.S. Prison
Morsi's got a Better chance of becoming the next Lubavitcher Grand Rebbe
But hey tell Rahman to be on the lookout for the release paperwork.....
I'd say turn down the foreign $$ to Egypt for a day and ask Uganda and Ethiopia to divert the Nile River for a day...that might make the silly requests stop.
sorry Morsi but i dont belive this will happend.
Not going to happen. Despite what the President said during his elections, and what many people believe, he's been far from forgiving of people conducting, or suspected of conducting terror attacks against US interests. While he might be offering the hand of friendship in public, he's been ordering sh*t load of them killed in private. The military and CIA drone strikes have been, killing them left and right in places like Somalia, Pakistan, and Yemen.
