    It humanized the Ruskie for me, made him a person and for that I will always cherish this book.

    Vortex and Red Phoenix were great as well.

    Vortex is the book that got me interested in Africa in the first place. Now it's part of my career.

    I'll add more votes for enjoying Red Storm Rising, Team Yankee and War that Never Was. Red Phoenix is also great although I'm not sure if it qualifies as WWIII fiction.

    Read "Trial by fire" by Harold Coyle, if you want a little Mexican spicy flavor to your techno-thriller.
