Try upgrading your drivers, if that won´t help it may be hardware fault. Also when did it start happening?
Hi guys, I know this might not be the most appropriate forum to ask a question like this, however i haven't received good feedback from any where else...
so as the title states every time i listen to music (mostly happens with more rock/punk orientated music) it makes a static follow up noise, I just got the new Lenovo B-520 ideacentre...
thanks in advance for any help or answers!
p.s it's not just the speakers because it also happens when i plug in headphones!

Is the music heavily compressed? I only listen to CD quality music because even mp5 files drive me crazy with distorted highs and lows.
Possibly a connection issue...so in your case I guess the 3mm head phone/speaker jack.
^^ Check the earthing in your electrical system.
Do you have Tinnitus?
It might be in your head.
What music do you listen?
If you have onboard sound it might mean that your sound chip is faulty, if playing with the cables and reinstalling drivers doesn't fix it you are probably going to have to replace your motherboard or buy a standalone sound card and use that instead.
Get MacBook.

Too many crappy sound drivers fighting about who's doing the job.
Had the same problem. Uninstalled everything that uses their own
damn sound drivers and went back to an old version of sound card
drivers. That solved it.
It's not reasonable having ten different programs all installing their
own crap when the end result is fokked up sound quality...
