On the flip side the number of criminals declines so it's not all bad.

Id hate having to shoot someone that was burglarizing my house. Then I think about what happned to that family in Conneticut, and I don't feel so bad about being able to make damn sure it doesn't happen to us.

Glad to live here in Texas.

I do not think it is bad at all. The key word is "justified".

I don't think it's bad at all either. Just figured the writer was wringing their hands over the rise in justifiable homicides.

I got a different vibe...kind of like even when justified, it changes lives forever. Which is a responsibility all CHL and folks that have HD firearms live with. I know I do.

Still, I'd rather live a "changed" life than be dead.

For $20.29 stolen from the tip jar of a Houston taco truck, 24-year-old Benito Pantoja was shot with a .357 Colt and killed.
    "Justifiable"?

Fuck me. They sure mean business down there.

heh man, even many of our (lovely) women carry with the CHL in Texas, there was a thing on the TV news last night about a Texas company making specialty handbags for the ladies, that has a cool side entry pouch behind the purse part of the shoulder carried handbag, where the lady can pack a full size Beretta 92f, or a Smith and Wes. 357 magnum and she can keep her right hand on the handgun and just look like she has her hand in the purse....it is really not noticable at all.
One of my buddies here who has always been kind of non-commital about concealed carry, and never owned a handgun, just got his CHL last month and he carries with him now when he makes his weekly long drives to a job site.
