Stop with the common sense and logic! You know that's against the rules when the point is to crap on a progressive idea . . . .

I would argue communal parenting is the oldest of all human social structures.

You do know that sharing the rights between more then 2 people mostly probably means big **** up for all? If you fail to understand it then you are beyond any help.

I fail to see your reasoning. As I stated, communal parenting has been the norm for more of human civilization than has not been. Now we have artificial rules making it impractical. Ever try to pick up kids form school? God forbid you are only a "guardian" and you need to make a hard decision for your charge that would require a parent when one isn't available.

I have a friend raising his son alone and is in the Marine Corps. His useless **** ex wife ran off and is out of pocket. So if he gets tapped to deploy his son goes to his mother. Grandparents don't universally have the same rights as parents. Wouldn't it be nice if she could raise his son legally as a son while he is gone?

And what do you have to say about the personal examples memebers posted about step parents? Why shouldn't they have the same rights and title if it suits all involved?

If you fail to understand this, I don't want your ****ing help.

It was not my intention to broach the subject of homo****** couples. But say two men adopt a baby and years later the child's birthmother wants to be a part of the child's life and it is approved of by all affected and beneficial for the child....why not?

People already have problems with child custody etc. with only 2 partners, especially when divorced. Adding third person to it would create even more problems. When everything is running fine, then there is no reason for 3 persons to have such right, but if things go wrong, then each more persons means more problems.

I think Seraosha and Rattfink's examples proved that wrong.

Are you a bed room antics checker? This is about kids not the parents.

That usually not a problem, stepparents usually have no problems here.

Who "she"? You tell that he is alone, so who is she? And Grandparants arent going to become "parents". Not that it ever hindered them to take care of their grandchildren until now.

They usually do have the rights already. Although Seraosash example may be so beacuse US laws differ in that matter.

If you fail to understand this, I don't want your ****ing help.
