While the Ammo law is BS, the blog linked to above could be written a hell of a lot better.
Holy $hit they need a license for ammunition? Glad I don't live there.
would be easy to remove personal enemies in those cities
put a few rounds in their car/bags, then call the cops...
How can people make such stupid laws?
Before the Nazification of the US, I remember going to the airport and going through security with a bag that had a box of ammo in it. The security guard laughed at me and asked me if I forgot to clean out my bag and then held up the box of ammo. I looked sheepishly and said I forgot they were in there. He asked me if I wanted to turn them into lost and found and pick them up when I get back. I told him that would be great and thanked him for his helpfulness. Too bad we are growing to a storm trooper mentality with law enforcement - albeit Homeland Security.
Note to self, go purchase another overnight bag. Sheesh, DC sucks.
Drama Queen Much?
Nazification of the US? Really?
I dont see people being rounded up and sent to FEMA Death camps, nor marauding hordes of Stormtroopers busting up businesses of political rivals, intimidating people. There is no American Gestapo
Just as bad as Far Left assholes with the hyperbole.
I have a key ring, that has a non-live 357 magnum round suspended from the ring itself, this was given to me by an old shooting range friend maybe 25 yrs ago. Guess it would not be wise to take a set of keys thru Washington, DC, New York City or Chicago with that set of keys.Seriously though, I had already "retired" the key ring to my box of old jewelry and such, due to the airport laws etc, after 9-11. Used to carry it here in TX all the time, never gave it a thought.

It depends where you are. Just last November I inadvertently left a couple of loaded pistol mags in my carry on when I was departing Spokane, WA. The TSA guy and Cop were totally cool about it, the Cop held them and said I could have someone pick them up, so I called my dad.
