    Considering the prevalence of them, I find it unsurprising. It was a noted phenomenon by summer of '11, and by my last semester, there was already a noticeable number of them at my school.
    Actually tried checking it out once with a bunch of friends to see what the fuss was about... we couldn't get past the first 5 minutes.

    When I was at ColossalCon they have 2 video rooms playing anime all day and one was dedicated to MLP so I watched a bit of it.

    Its just a normal kids show just with ponies. I have better stuff to watch
