Mexico's PRI party changing the drug war.
It seems like PRI is going back to the old way of business.

Enrique Peña Nieto, the 45-year-old candidate of the opposition Institutional Revolutionary party (PRI), who won Sunday’s election, said it was essential to put Mexicans’ concerns before anything else.
The thing is, the VAST majority of crimes are already drug cartel on drug cartel. Drug cartels want to eliminate their competition, not their customers. All this is going to do is let things continue as is with no chance of even weakening the cartels.
The only way now to severely weaken the Cartels is for both countries to significantly step up border observation and control to try and drastically cut down the drugs smuggled into the US which would cut off a lot of revenue for the cartels.
There allegations that some in the PRI are in bed with the drug cartels!
mostly all of them are involved in some way or another.

The biggest problem is the drug-addicted nature of Americans. Not only illegal drugs, but prescription drug abuse.

I wonder if we took 40% of the money spent on the war on drugs, and did a war on addiction, what the results would be?
There may be a wave of illegals hitting the southern states since we no longer deport anyone.

Pure idiocy on the part of Mexican PRI voters. This is nothing but a return to the single party, economically stagnate, corrupt Mexico of the last century.
