    G'day All,
    I'm back on mpnet now, my computer died 3 months ago and now have a spare 430watt power supply since my 750watt died now gotta save up for 850 or 950watt to replace it.

    Why do you need so many Watts on your Power Supply? Will you actually be using that many?

    Welcome Back I suppose, but I doubt you would know me though.

    For my gaming rig hence reason for better power supply otherwise computer will shut down.

    I may have one. Remind me tomorrow when im home.

    Might only be 500w though. But seriously, even for a gaming rig, thats a lot of wattage you want.

    850 is minimal if you plan to run dual video card.

    Not true. I ran 2x6970 with 650W Antec new Truepower Trio. Works as a charm. It runs at about 550 or so watts on average. If we were talking dual 6990 or alike, then I would agree.

    What are you using, a 10 year old PC overclocked to 12 Ghz? PC's from the last 5 years, even with the strongest parts, don't use more than 400 Watts when loaded. And everything beyond that is a waste of money, as is evident from your lack of a few dollars to buy a power supply unit for 3 months....

    Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz, 4.00GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 8800GT twin SLI (using one card at the moment)
    I have coolants aswell
    also money is tight.
