RIP and speedy recovery to the injured.

Hmmm, why was there a convoy of vans containing passengers headed to Iran from Pakistan?
Suspicious....I don't think these were 'regular passengers' and the gunmen, well, I'll stop right there until more details are released.

There are regular convoys of vans going from Pakistan to Iran mostly carrying Shia pilgrims. And many times these convoys are attacked by Sunni extremists.

Yes I was correct, these were Shia pilgrims

There was an attack on bus 4 days ago which killed 15 Shia pilgrims

Another attack 10 months back when 25 Shia pilgrims were killed

I could go on and on.

Hope it makes the situation clear to you.

Pakistan is a victim of terror.

I wonder till when will Iran keep watching these Shia massacres.

Maybe the Tehrik-e-Jafaria would become more active and we would go back to the days when the Saudi - Iranian proxy war was fought in Pakistan with the Tehrik against the Sipah-e-Sahaba.

These are poor people and the only way they can afford to travel is in buses. They cannot walk, there are no trains and flying is out of the question.

Iran has been fighting against these Sunni terrorists on Pakistani border for a long time. Iran does not hesitate to deploy some of its military's most advanced equipment to fight them.

However despite Iran's best military efforts such persistent attacks on Iran will not stop until the major powers who finance these terrorists (Saudi Arabia and majority of GCC) are threatened to be served real justice by some significant tertiary force should they continue. Guess which group of countries holds the influence to do that.

Did you knew Iran lost more than 4000 border guards since 1979 combating the illegal drugs from Afghanistan ?
the borders with Pakistan we have sealed 90%, we are building fences, walls and military bases also near Afghanistan border. The amount of violence spreading from Pakistan and Afghanistan into Iran has been reduced by 99% in the last 2 years
