    Default US Invasion of Vera Cruz, Mexico - 1914

    Here is a background to a much forgotten event in US History: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_...on_of_Veracruz In short, Woodrow Wilson did not want a German supply ship to deliver weapons to the Mexican dictator Huerta. So, with the approval of Congress, he ordered the port occupied so the ship could not unload. There is more to it but that is the digest version. Anyway, here are the pics:
