Default Hawker Beechcraft in talks with Chinese company for $1.8 billion sale

It would only be the general aviation and business aviation divisions and not the defence division but that's still an awful lot of manufacturing output and I'm sure there will be worries about jobs moving from Wichita and Little Rock to China.

EDIT - Replace the stars with the famous news agency that begins with an R.

Excellent. Its be nice to see China building something a little better than copies of the AN2. It's masters of industry should travel speedily across the PRC with a little more comfort and a modicum of style.

Or it could be like the Indian company Tata buying Jaguar Landrover - it could actually turn the company around completely and pull them out of the shitter.

Sorry, that was just poor writing on my part. Eclipse and Cirrus was a continuation of the list of aircraft manufacturers with factories in the States whilst Embraer have just opened the new factory in FL.
