Doubt that'll happen. The follow up work, Boeing would have a **** storm on their hands with the cuts coming that billions went overseas.
I can't find the September thread... (where has it gone?!) so I'll post it here. Anyway nifty work. A follow-up contract to work on more USAF F-15s would be worth billions of dollars.USAF receives first rewired F-15 fighter from Korean Air

Korean Air has completed the delivery of the first of 60 rewired F-15 fighter jets to the US Air Force (USAF) following scheduled depot maintenance at its Busan Tech Center in Korea.
The delivery is part of a US$473 million contract awarded to the company by the USAF in September 2011 to upgrade and rewire the avionics on its F-15 fighter aircraft fleet, stationed at Kadena Air Base in Japan, by 2016.
Under the terms of the contract, the company has replaced 15,000 Kepton wires present in the F-15's airframe with more elastic Teflon wires and ran tests to make sure all systems work to specifications, according to The Korea Herald.

Maybe. It means we'll get some other kind of work, though. The current movement within the US government is to increase defense industrial cooperation between Korea and the US, in spite of the economic recession.
Follow-up contract is still possible, because as noted in the article Korean Air has been doing the same job for decades on hundreds of USAF F-15 jets. This particular work is a renewed contract on a concurrent, incremental project. 4 years later when the current work is over, they could get another contract for scores of more jets. There are many reasons to keep an established and reliable supplier.
A five-year PBL contract for ROKAF F-15Ks has been signed. Interestingly, the main Korean contractor is Hyundai Glovis, instead of Korean Air. Diversification of capability and growth opportunities?

Further contributions by Korean companies to modernizing the F-15 family is also forthcoming.
Good news. We will need those Eagles for some time to come. The more the US works with our real allies, the stronger we all become...
