I'm on the site every week night and I can tell you G4S are embarassingly incompitent. It seem the recruitment criterea is a pulse. The troops are also pretty pissed off at being on stag by fences for 12 hours at a time.
Today .... One guy was standing upright sleeping .. another he was so fukin fat he sat on his arse most of the day ...christ knows what good that whale would do he wouldn't be able to make a dash for it if the need arises .. lol
You must be talkin about the security guards in the UK, because the guys who do the CP role overseas are rated well. Everyone of them are good operators. As for the recruitment criteria, out of xy amount, how many would make it thru the SIA process. You get fkd off from that for even a caution. Take into consideration the amount of people who, after enrolling, dont bother their arse to turn up. Not condoneing G4s for this, just putting out some extra factors thay may have come into play. Just saying.
Only 17 of an expected 56 G4S staff turned up for work at an Olympic team hotel in Salford this morning, the chairman of the Greater Manchester Police Authority has said.
As a result, the force has pulled in front-line officers to provide security, Paul Murphy said.
Home Secretary Theresa May will answer questions about G4S problems later.

No doubt we will get the usual "Its not my fault" from Mrs May later.![]()
G4S has completely destroyed any credibility they had before today... and they will probably be sued into oblivion after the games are complete.
Some of my mates from 2 Para are there and one said it is the most boring thing he has done in his life.
And to think that G4S is a danish company. Oh snap :P
You know I was thinking of working for G4S part time instead of taking EMT training. I'm now glad I picked the latter option. A Somali militia would be more competent and trustworthy security than them.
Questions, since so many Soldiers are being used to augment the civil authorities do they have powers of arrest as a police officer would have if confronted with an incident, or are they merely to call for a sworn police officer? (I'm sure y'all do have a Military QRF ready for actual terrorist incidents and hope y'all wont need them).
