Kid you are in a Pro Military Forum, meaning majority will be favoring the right!!! It is what it is.but I just sense a strong conservative overtone to this whole section and its just surprising to see the polls be as close as they are.
Barak Obama, Democrat
Mitt Romney, Republican
Gary Johnson, Libertarian

Don't know
Not voting this year
Obama is a complete amatuer when it comes to business and economics. Romney is not. We've been over 8+% unemployment since mid-2008. Soemthing has to change in that area, if nowhere else, and more of the same won't do it.
Dead relatives and the neighbor's dog most likely.
Then don't. Vote for him because he knows business a hell of a lot better than Obama and the economy is in the $hitter.

Voting your conceisen is great and I used to think the same way...this time around, I feel it's way too pivotal of an election to vote third party or cast a vote that will not matter, except you and the concept of higher principles.
Mitt is worlds different than Obama, his track record as a governor showed him willing and able to work with the other party. He left office with a balanced budget and had what I believe was a good balance of taxation and spending cuts during his term.
Plus his business background and success in that realm is something that also sets him apart from Obama.
Not voting means increasing the odds of another 4 years of Obama which I don't see the US being able to recover from...
Fact is Fact!Your assumptions always amaze me
Idk, I agree with your post in regards to a sense of urgency, to fix our dire issues. But for some reason I feel optimistic that Gridlock will inspire the change we need in the long term. I feel the same desired effect will happen in the long run, People get tired of our leaders not doing anything, and vote for those that will compromise and work with others, or it just strengthens the call to start these 3rd parties, to enact the real change thats needed.
overall I dont feel one party has all the answers, so I just want some of both.
I remember when we could see who voted...or maybe it's my mac.
However, what has happened to the civility on this forum?
With our campaign finance laws, when it comes to a contest between Romney and Obama we're choosing between the two prize poodles of a few select billionaires, corporations, and special interest groups. I think Obama is okay; he's the least worst of those two poodles, but still...
I think Johnson's a honest guy and did a pretty good job as governor. He's libertarian but not as out there and hard line as Ron Paul. He's more pragmatic. I don't agree with him on everything but if I were going to vote for anyone else it would be him.
In all the news cycle over the past 12 months, I dont think Ive seen a single interview or report on Johnson. As much as I hate to say this because it sounds like a conspiracy theory, the media and reporting in this country is run by few large corporations (Murdoch, Time warner, etc), who have no interest in democracy nor honest reporting on all viable candidates. This is one of the biggest problems to our democracy and unity as a nation.
He has the same amount of experience as Romney, and more than Obama when we was elected. He is a self-made man who started out as a handyman. He was successful enough at that to get together the cash to start his own company, which grew until annual revenues were approaching $40 million$. He sold the company in 1999 and went into politics. He got elected to two terms as Governor of New Mexico, and left the state with a $1 billion$ budget surplus. He would make a fantastic President.
