You don't know her work in the slightest. Comparing her to Garofalo is so far off base I don't even know where to start.
Both have gone wonky by politics. I used to like Garof back in '93 when she was in the Ben Stiller show. Fast forward to 2001 and it's hello angry no more funny.
Garofalo is a certified hypocrite and political hack. The same can't be said about Silverman, she offends everybody and makes no bones about it.

Silverman was on Seinfeld once, I think like Kramer's gf or something. I'm not sure I like a lot of her work, but I would, of course, hit that action as if I were the manifest agent of an angry God. I promise her I won't donate any money to Romney if she lets me pound that butt like I'm searching for North Sea crude.
She is a comedian, not a political commentator. And really, I've no idea since I don't pay any attention to inconsequential people talking about politics.
