Not exactly. I have nothing to hide and yet I don't want drones or anything else for that matter eye balling me or my property.

I Live Free Here...you live there, well, in Chicago?

I'm not shocked...I prefer my property rights to your rights to spy.

Hmm. A 12 gauge 3-1/2" semiauto throwing 1.5 ounces of #2 steel shot per trigger pull oughta do the trick.

They have been doing this for years already but, that does not make it right. FBI and State Troopers have planes with heat sensitive devices that fly overhead looking for indoor pot farms (or so they say.) They use the heat signitures to digitally reproduce pictures of what is going on inside your house, including *s*e* x acts and then waste taxpayer money joking about your techniques and laughing at you. The drones are more advanced and they laugh at you from a remote location. Still sucks. Still must stop.

You can bet if you ever had words with one of them or a disagreement they are probably pointing it at you illegally. Look for yourself on Youtube in infrared.

Not yet, but it looks like it might be good practice. Plenty of good places to do it near where I live, too.

I can already see RC aircraft licensing, signal encryption and a host of other annoying regulations coming out to raise the cost of this hobby. Heck, they’ll probably flat out ban the hobby or at least duct fan and turbine RC seeing what that ignoramus in Massachusetts stirred up.

Next they’ll be bothering radio buffs sniffing signals on the airwaves. “Boy, you got a license for that spectrum analyzer”?

If state & local agencies can use them for traffic enforcement, to enhance operational surveillance (following folks over long distances - drug or weapons mules, money laundering smurfs, fugitives and pursuits), to enhance pre-op surveillance (better photos of target locations), search/rescue and other ops in rural areas, I'm all for it. How much different is the use of a drone for patrol over say the aviation units of agencies (either rotor or fixed wing)? The same rules for surveillance from manned aircraft should apply to unmanned ones.

I believe certain restrictions exist already in the US regarding frequency scanners.
