Air Force to Launch Combat Pilot Training Program Using TA-50

The Air Force will actively launch a combat pilot training program using the TA-50 trainer jet, as the delivery of the aircraft has been completed.

The Air Force on Friday held a ceremony marking the completed delivery at an air base at the 16th Fighter Wing in Yecheon, North Gyeongsang Province.

Thanks to low fuel consumption and operating costs, TA-50 jets can save about 300 million won in expenses per one combat pilot’s training, while also reducing the training period significantly, according to the Air Force.
