39 PKK terrorists killed in large-scale military operations in Şemdinli

Turkish security forces have dealt a heavy blow to the terrorist Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in large-scale operations conducted in Hakkari's Şemdinli district, according to sources close to the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK). The military has destroyed depots of food, munitions and medicine belonging to the terrorist group in Şemdinli and killed a total of 39 PKK terrorists since the operations began last week.

Take that 'news' with a grain of salt, ANKA UAV is still under development I don't expect prototypes to be operationally ready. Perhaps more then likely Heron UAVs were used in that operation.

Come on bro, we all know there would be handing over ceremony if that was the case. Either way, UAVs and Attack Helicopters are a must in the war against terrorism. It's about time Turkey is doing something about it.

Yes bro,after operations finish i believe we can be more sure about body count,according to news their aim was take over center of city ''Semdinli'' and make their propaganda,i believe they are making propaganda in hell as wood now.

According to the news, these terrorists had infiltration training for 8 months. Their plan was to bypass the cover of thermal imaging and heavy survelliance on the border and attack Semdinli city center. Two weeks ago, two PKK terrorists surrendered and they confessed about this plan. Thus military deployed 2000 soldiers in the rural areas of Semdinli.


PKK's target was to capture public offices in Semdinli city center, use civilians as cover against police & military and forcing Turkey to use extensive force in populated areas.


But they got defeated during the infiltration process. Many terroist killed under artillery fire and aerial bombings. Many of them got encircled on the Goman mountain and their casualties is higher than 100.


Army still run operations to clean remaining PKK terrorist on the rural areas of Semdinli. During these operations two soldiers have lost their lives and ten soldiers got wounded.
