Thread: CRUZ Wins in Texas

    Default CRUZ Wins in Texas

Another RHINO falls. Dewhurst concedes to Cruz after the nastiest race on record. Serves him right for the negative campaign he waged against Cruz. This should be a lesson to obamie and his crew about negative campaigns. Then when you can't run on your record what else can you do.

Yes, us conservatives are flushing the liberals out of the party, not moderates.

I heard that Cruz was leading in the polls and that Dewhurst spend a $hit ton more money than Cruz.

I can only imagine how much he spent. His dumb attack ads played practically 24/7.

I'm not sure how this guy can be considered a "liberal".

Yes....lord a mercy...I am glad that campaign is over...as the ads were driving me crazy! I am not far from Dallas BTW and am sure we saw the same commercials....the long time entrenched politicians...please take note.....a new day is coming. New blood, kick the bums out. Obama will be defeated, just keep saying that over and over and it will be so.

I think Dewhurst was more conservate than liberal, but Cruz was less of a professional politican that Dewhurst and his association with the tea party, and mainly the fact he was a new guy, not tied to the old entrenched folks was what got him in...plus the ethnic sounding name Cruz....brought in votes for him maybe???

I'll give you an analogy. If you take a peek at your right arm. If you are not at the tip of the right middle finger, you are a liberal. Everybody else who is not that far right, is a communist.

To some of us here in Texas that's exactly what we feel he did, gave us the middle finger. He failed to support some important bills that had statewide support like repealing in-state tuition for illegal immigrants and the e-verify bill and proposed a statewide "wage tax" more commonly known as an income tax.

There are other issues that don't make it outside the state concerning how Dewhurst, as Lieutenant Governor who has enormous powers in the senate controlling committee assignments and where bills are assigned, failed on several occasions to allow bills important to his constituency to be submitted.

Amen to that brother. The attack ads Dewhurst put out were over the top. I don't mind ads that point out a persons record when it's true but connecting Cruz to the suicide of some young man because he had a part in a legal proceeding is unethical to say the least.

A couple examples. He held a campaign event for DC lobbyists at a house owned by Tony Podesta, an Obama crony, and killed a conservative agenda by allying himself with democrats and some liberal republicans in the senate.

Yes, we're moving the baseline to a point where politicians that don't perform as their constituents want them to are flushed out of the system. As y'all know when politicians get power they don't want to give it up so we have to take it away from them.

For those confused about him being a RINO. Republicans use both the term RINO and liberal as insults. They dont necessarily mean anything in regards to a politicians ACTUAL political position, it just means you dont like that candidate. Calling a person a liberal in Texas is synonymous to calling a person an asshole anywhere else in the country. Calling them a RINO means they didnt vote precisely they way you wanted them to in every case.

I don't really consider asshole as a synonym for RINO or liberal. For me , Dewhurst qualified himself as an asshole with his over the top attack ads.

I wouldn't really consider Dewhurst much of a liberal either but then again I'm not the most conservative person around.

I like the move of both parties moving towards a position of never compromising. Smart move. always works.

I mean lets think back in history and try to find anything good that came out of compromising with the other side. i can think of anything.
