Default Bulgarian Militia (old commie cops)

I'm wondering after seeing all the OLD Lada,Volga,Mercedes, and other makes vehicles what did the Bulgarian militia vehicles look like? Was they like the U.S.S.R. ones? (white or yellow with blue stripes and the U.S.S.R. seal on the doors with MNANUNR or MNJINUNR (new way they wrote it prior to change to POLICE in Russia which comes out: TTOANUNR and TTOJINUNR)

I have tried Google but all they pull up is the police vehicles..No old Militia ones:

Anyone who has good photos of the old militia vehicles post them,Have never saw the Bulgarian version of the militia..Just the U.S.S.R. and modern times Russia one.

The vehicles were mainly Lada. Painting and markings were almost identical to the photos you posted, IIRC.

The vehicles were mostly ladas and the color scheme was mostly like the thrid picture you posted (the Volga). However most of these vehicles were passed away in the 90s. Nowadays they are using mostly Opel Astra G. All of your pictures are from the 90s because it is written Police on them and not Militia.

I see, So just blue doors, hood, and trunk on a white patrol vehicle then with Militia wrote as either: MNJINUNR or MNANUNR and no state badge on the doors?

Obviously, I remember a bit more. In the 1970ies the typical Militia car was the Moskvich in yellow and blue. In the 1980ies they start to replace them with the Lada and the Volga was only for Militia bosses, altough I myself have seen even a Trabant in the Militia colours, which is really very funny, probably an exception in small mountain towns.

So did the patrols have the U.S.S.R. seal on the doors or Bulgaria thing like they use now? I know the Russkie ones was either yellow with blue stripes or white with blue stripes, All them had the U.S.S.R. seal on the doors too, I have made 2 for my ColdWar mod:

Not really. Bulgarian militia cars didn`t have any symbols on the doors, but they had roundels in front above the engine. They read KAT = Control of Auto Transport or ДАИ = State Auto Inspection, or MBP = Ministery of the Interrior. Now I remember that some of them were blue with yellow straps. I asked my uncle, who was a Colonel in KAT and he said that the blue ones with the yellow stripes were the Militia and the yellow ones with the blue stripes were KAT. He said that in the 1980ies there were also Niva for high ranking officers, although he preferred Volga.

I found one on that site:

They look just like the Soviet ones but have no badge on them..Thanks for the link to that place and the descriptions..I now know what to make in my ColdWar mod .

Judiging by what I have saw so far I'm gonna assume in Bulgaria (unlike Russia) the militia had BLUE lights only..No red.

I also found these pics (thanks to a Bulgarian friend) on a GTA site:

Militia in cyrillics is "Милиция". My memories of the Police Ladas are from the early 90s (when i was a kid) and i assumed that they were just like that in the 80s but with the Militia written on them instead of Police.

Yeah I knew that it's wrote Милиция but I can't type that on my keyboard so I have to write it as MNJTNUNR or MN/\NUNR. I find most of the old Commie times militia vehicles write the L (л) as a /\ rather than л and usually anything from 1990 on write it as л so I guess /\ was the old style to write the L.

What was funny was the sirens used..They was the Czech Tesla AZD:

I know they used that siren in Czechoslavakia & U.S.S.R. and as I saw a Bulgarian car with the same light I have to assume it was ued there too XD.
