Default Russian decide sell 18 Su-30K for Vietnam

Russia does not want to give Belarus and Su-30K, which returned from India after ten years of operation. Instead of providing their allies Belarus, the leadership of "Rosoboronexport" has decided to sell them to Vietnam. But in return for them, experts say, Russia could be able to use the Belarusian military airfields.

I am sure Vietnam doesnt mind having a few extra Su 30's although the Indians have thoroughly used/abused them during the time they had.

It's for "one-time" use if Viet Nam really buys them.

And btw, news in Russian language is not trustworthy. I'll wait until it's officially confirmed by Janes, otherwise, its just hearsay bs

I doubt regarding the tone used here, Belarus must have new option, Perhaps more economical and brand new MIG-29SMT..

Vietnam already use SU-30 & Not MIG-29, It make sense if these are offered to Vietnam..

I remember an article quoting an Indian official that it still has about half of it's operating life. And no one with common sense will buy a something that will fly only for a "one-time use" no matter how cheap it is given. Heck, even donated defense materials will not be accepted if it's one-time use only. Belarus will also be upgrading it to SU-30KN standards for an additional $5M each.

I suspect that Russia simply gave a credit for them, in the case it doesn't matter much.

Perhaps N001 Myech, at least according to ausairpower.net. Seems reasonable.
