Default Shooting at Wisconsin Sikh temple

(CNN) -- At least two people were wounded, one critically, and one person appeared to have been killed Sunday in an incident at a Sikh temple in the Milwaukee suburb of Oak Creek, Wisconsin.
Carolyn Bellin, a spokeswoman for Milwaukee's Froedtert Hospital, said one of two men brought there from the incident was in surgery early Sunday morning, while the other was in the surgical intensive care unit.
There was no immediate comment from law enforcement in the town, on the south side of Milwaukee. But at least one body was visible lying in the parking lot, and CNN affiliate reported that multiple people may have been shot.

At least one gunman attacked worshippers at a Sikh temple in the Milwaukee suburb of Oak Creek, Wisconsin, on Sunday, leaving at least one dead and two wounded while police converged on the site.

Some people are believed to be trapped inside the Sikh Temple of Wisconsin, and at least one gunman may still be inside, Alderman Dan Jakubczyk told CNN.

"As far as I know, it is still an active situation," Jakubczyk said.
    ---

Gurcharan Grewal, president of the Sikh Religious Society of Wisconsin, told CNN that he has heard from multiple people that there were wounded people still inside the temple and that there may have been multiple perpetrators. Police have sealed off the entire area, he said.
    ---

The temple has a congregation of 250 to 400, according to its website.

The officer was transported to a nearby hospital, where he is expected to survive, Wentlandt said.

Police are currently engaged in a tactical sweep to assess whether additional shooters remain inside the temple, and have asked the media to refrain from reporting on or transmitting images of police operations in the area.

There is no victim count at this time.

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel is reporting that between 20 and 30 people have been shot, and that hostages are being held, according a text message sent to a Journal Sentinel reporter.

Seems like the one dead was a (the?) gunman. Here is hoping this will end relativily well.
