Arrow Sacramento International Airport May Replace TSA With Private Security

    http://sacramento.cbslocal.com/2012/...vate-security/

The Sacramento International Airport is considering making a security change, and it could mean getting rid of TSA agents.

Long lines and long faces are usually what TSA security checkpoint employees see everyday.

But now the airport may be the third largest airport in the country to replace these government workers with ones from a private company

I'm not sure if they're the same as the TSA - but airport security is generally handlet privately in Norway. Police do passport control and customs are government agents as well - but directing passengers around and screening before being let into the terminal is done by private companies.

We still have really long lines...

    Total stupidity

The Private Security still HAS to follow the TSA policies and Procedures to the letter. So you still get body scanners or pat downs but now being down by people being paid even less and investigated even less

    BRILLIANT!

I agree. Who will they replace it with ? G4S ???

To be honest ..personally i have not found TSA to be that bad. They follow Policies and Procedures written by higher ups. Again, there is a lot of literature about how bad they ....which i am sure they are....but form my personal experience ....i will give them a pass...!!!!
