I've heard the book has a number of inaccuracies , I wonder if that will affect the movie at all if it's true ?

I remember reading in the book that Luttrell is like 6'3 or something , seems odd to pick little Marky Mark to play him.

Hopefully they can recreate the part about sliding down the mountain and somehow always having the rifle right there waiting without making it look fake.

Hope it's better than the book.

most of the time if a book is made into a movie, and you happen to read the book first, the movie tends to be a let down.

Marcus Luttrell is a former United States Navy SEAL, who received the Navy Cross for his actions in June 2005 facing Taliban fighters during Operation Red Wings.
    This incident.

Luttrell is 6'-5", a very tall guy. The book was not well written, though it has sold a bunch of copies and made Mark a good chunk of money which I am glad he got. Still the movie, hopefully would be better than the book. The key turning point was when the group of SEALs decided (voted?) to let the goat herders go, and they immediately went and told the Taliban who returned in force, thus dooming the SEALs. As well as the rescue chopper. What should they have done? That can be debated forever but won't change the outcome.

Jesus he's only six inches shorter. Don't they have any tall actors left?

A goat herder knackered Bravo 2 Zero as well.

Sounds like a reconnaissance asset the west should consider using but in unmanned drone form

Like shooing an M4 223.55 mm and an AK .762 caliber rifle? I hope they make those guns for the movie.

The book was a big let down. My hats of for his service and his sacrifice, but reading 200+ pages of "Christian God, G.W. Bush and a SEAL platoon would have killed 1000+ T-ban" was....hard....Guess I didn't get what he intended to sell.
