Great pics, I absolutely love the skull balaclavas. Winning hearts and minds, eh?
The camo with the red-ish fields is rather interesting. It seems to work quite well in this kind of environment.

Nothing says, "We're here to protect you" like black ski masks. I know why they do it but it doesn't seem to help in distinguishing these guys from the enforcers of the last regime.
The Punisher Skull has been everywhere in Iraq. Chris Kyle even talked about it in his book.
I am sure some of them have *** with those rifles.

WOW is this a Bshmaster Carbon 15 sbr???
They are badass, how much soldiers are in the Iraqi special forces?
They look pretty high speed. Their tan/black combo reminds me of the Shadow Company guys from MW2.

They sure were paying attention during LCF classes![]()
Old school. I remember posting these around 2004, SF trained Peshmerga during the battle of Fallujah.
The Story on these guysIraqi Counterterrorism Force Soldiers, who cover their faces to hide their identities in order to protect themselves and their families, talk about their role of working with U.S. Army Special Forces advisors to help put down the insurgency in Fallujah, Iraq Thursday, April 29, 2004.
About the only Iraqis who joined the fight in Fallujah were some 40 Iraqi Special Forces of the 36th Battalion from Baghdad ---- a ragtag militia of mostly Kurdish fighters who seemed eager to storm the city and "kill 'em all," according to their American adviser from the 5th Army Special Forces Group.
With only a handful of Iraqi troops ---- who quickly became an even smaller and almost exclusively Kurdish militia after a dozen of its Shiite members mutinied before a raid on a mosque in a nearby village ---- the U.S. leaders could hardly boast of a meaningful Iraqi contribution to the war effort in Fallujah.
Though you have to admit, they do look pretty badass wearing those skull balaclava. Beside they're Special Forces anyway, so it's not like they're always out there in public for all eyes to see, unless when conducting a patrol or something.
Not questioning your buddy, but I happened to have been based at where the ICTF and 36th were trained and it was 2 USSF ODA's which ran the Commando school near the Big Cage in 2004-2005. Night of the Commando was fun, every 2 minutes the hit them with Arty Sims all night and you could hear them in unison yell Commando all night. Watching them learn to swim was interesting. Even in a Swimming Pool the average Jundi was seemingly terrified of the water.
