I was actually there once when the Canadians were there. I believe Peru and Chile have also trained in Moyock.

Watch out! Maybe their parliament has no knowledge of it and you'll spark another controversy!

Why is it if your not Conservative your a "leech" on the governments dime?

For the record I think the training isn't a bad thing what so ever but I'm sure there are better organizations out there that don't have such a controversial past. Also Canadians should know of this and honestly when have any of the parties never jumped on something like this? It's just seems hypocritical to say shame to the NDP yet every party uses to the same tactic. As for business contracts etc being linked to Conservative MP's there have been multiple cases of this. So its very legitimate to call the contract into question in my opinion.

Because the average conservative supporter would rather sling slop-burgers at McDonald's than suck at the public tit?

So if your not a Conservative supporter your sucking the public tit? First off at least where I reside your average Conservative supporter is 50+ who likes boating with their spoiled kids on the Rideau Canal than complain to the Feds that they need to fix the damage to canal they cause through excessive speeds and pollution. Any sort of Conservative Youth in Ottawa are all at University on mommy and daddy's dime which is awfully ironic. I used to work for a Conservative MP here in Ottawa, which over time I became very upset with the party and their inner workings. I've always been in the middle of the road politically but the Conservative message is literally "your either with us 100% or completely against us".

I'm a tad more left than I used to be so being 20, having a successful career, own place, own car, investments and supporting the NDP makes me a leech? I agree there is abuse regarding welfare, but there is a abuse in anything regardless of what it is. It just really bugs me that people on this board are so willing to stereotype demographics without a second thought to what they are actually saying.

Typical... Thinking that Canada ends at the Ontario border... There are a lot of youthful conservatives out there... And talking about stereotyping demographics, re read your first paragraph.

I'm not saying that their arn't a lot of Conservative youth, but I know the realities of my constituency as I used to interact with them every day for 8 months. A majority of Conservative supporters in my riding (and neighboring) are older wealthier Canadians who are able to attend $500 support dinners monthly. Although I admit I cannot speak for other riding's outside of Ottawa personally. Youth support for the Conservative candidate is insignificant as being one of the youngest to have ever worked for him that was one of things I worked on was youth engagement in the Conservative Party of Canada. Outside of the smaller university organizations there is little in the way of solid Conservative Youth organizations in Ottawa.

Heck I'm still friends with some of the university executives for these groups. I used to get such a kick out of these kids when they were to rant on and on about "entitlements" when there parents have handed them everything. I've worked my ass off to get where I am while a few of these individuals have gotten appointments in the party and jobs based on who they know or what there family have done while I've no such advantage.

Yet not very smart ones. Alberta is chalked full of them. They want private medical care, yet they bitch about private medical care in the US. Morons.

"Liberal" and "Conservative" are concepts and ideals in Canada. In the US they are character traits.
They also happen to be the names of our two main political parties.
There are many, many Conservative Liberals and Liberal Conservatives, also a great many that fall in between.

I grew up in British Columbia Ghost. That makes me well aquianted with the "left" side of politics in this country. It also has likely skewed my view point (much as Ottawa has skewed yours).

Boone is entirely correct and I am likely a Liberal Conservative....lol

Back to the original issue at hand; No, you as the tax payer do not need to know everything I do for triaining. There are some things that we do not want public because making them public could put me and my brothers (or even Canada) at greater risk. Protection of your TTPs is a basic military premise.

Wha? Who? Albertan Conservatives want to privatize health care? I too wish there was forms of private health care in Canada.

Ghost, its funny, when an individual is in University, they think that the campus life and organisations really mean something and have a bearing on how decisions are made. Once you leave it, you realise that, the students are just a year older then they were in highschool.

The NDP calls some Conservative supporters "Corporate Welfare Bums" - they defer their taxes (often for decades), recieve regular tax exemtions for things you couldn't dream about. They get first go on that 'public tit'. They are delighted to support the 'right' kind of pol, however. And even more delighted to have 'average' conservative go to bat for them against the 'dangers' of socialism.

If you're slinging slop burgers it wouldn't be at one of their 'private' golf courses or in their corporate dining room. You wouldn't be taking courses at Akadamie, for that matter, either.
