Please do not tell me ausairpower sucks, unless you can find a much better analysis than what they offered.
    True, It sucks.
Did you read the article say that Su35 can kill F35 easily in this sucked page?
I will not believe anything from this page.

No. I did not read the article. But I am sure they have their reasons, and they are not afraid to put those in public display for scrutiny. But you? Didn't you know that saying "it sucks" amounts to nothing? The analysis remains true no matter you believe it or not, unless you can offer better counterpoints.

I would say that I have some knowledge on rada area.
Actually, the theory of stealth has developed long time ago. However, the "web experts" nowadays will say anything that has a stealth look like aircraft is a stealth aircraft. This is even true for the case of naval frigates and destroyers.
But who know how actually these shape work? How can these Australian experts know the rada reflection image of a plane that have not entered service or just based on these images they have on the web and induce so many thing fancy?

The fact that these Australian experts want F22, they will draw anything fancy to make F35 become worse or make their threat become larger and you Chinese believe it?

MRAP, I would like you to justify your comment that it's a "pure fighter" please.

The Chinese have emphasized the 4 S capability of J-20 all along: stealth, super cruise, super maneuverability, and short-takeoff. In fact, Gen. He, the air force general who announced the programs for China's 5th Gen. fighter and Strategic air lifter (later called Y-20) in the Chinese national TV broadcasting, specifically mentioned the importance of 4 S for the 5th gen. fighter. Logically, Chinese will produce a 5th gen. air superiority fighter first, because anything else will be victims of F-22. Do not believe what you see on the Western media. Most of what was said are illogical speculations.

Is it the same as the rumour going around that Chinese J10s are superior to SU35, SU30 and Mig 29?

I like you man... Can you tell me what are you smoking???

My overview of your J-20... too large for it to be a true "super maneuverability as you say it", can be solved by using thrust vectoring and use of canards but then again the whole structure itself is subjected to drag as the wings are too large...STOL? maybe. But then again due to it's size and breadth, how will it achieve STOL if it is fully loaded with weapons in it's internal bay cargo... power to weight ratio...Misleading.... I am with you with low observable design.. Stealthy... with super (tom) cruise, yeah I give you that.. To sum up, it can't be an air superiority fighter. It can, if it's adversary are the B52s, but against a SU35, T-50 PAKFA, F35 II, F15 SE, a Eurofighter or a JAS 39, well that'll be interesting to see.

But then again this is just my own dissenting opinion...

Don't trust Chinese national TV broadcasting so much.. They might be smoking the same s... err.... stuff as you do....

    Cheers....

It is not stupid rumour. J-XX program aim was to develop one or more 4th gen fighters (Chinese and Euro 4th gen = US 5th gen). J-20 looks more to me like either interceptor or fighter-bomber, it is only logical that PLAAF would try to develop air-superiority fighter.

Given our current inability to create a large force of 5th gen fighters do to political dumbfvckery i'd say China has a chance to catch up to us, but i've yet to see any evidence that they're surpassing us.

you right in case of china, couse for some reason they decided J-8II is 2nd generation like J-6/7 (-19/-21), so J-10 , Su-27 are 3rd generation for them, but since Europe had Mirage F1, even F-104S i won't say they call F-35 "4th generation".

Slovak Air Force still calls MiG-29 3rd generation fighter. When I asked about that, reasons were that it is standart European generation marking. I left it at that.

Well China seems to be rolling out a new toy on the land sea and air every other month. As for all these wild a$$ claims about the J-20, I think its just a tech demonstrator. The PLAAF wanted to see how far advanced the aircraft design bureaus have come along in tech.

Or it's that Chinese wan't to keep more than one company producing fighters...Chengdu is already building J-10's, J-10B's, UAV's and of course J-20.

It's always good thing to have competition.

I'm sure China has been working on it for a while now, but this photo is probably for media and propaganda purpose, you won't see the real thing unless it is ready.
