    Default The Republic of China Street

    Chongqing city government funded the development "Republic of China Street" as a set for movie "1942". After filming, the street shall be preseved for tourism and sightseeing purposes.

    According to Director Feng Xiaogang the street shall be used to film people welcoming the American ambassdor and explosion scenes in his upcoming movie, Feng is very satisfied about the preservation the orginal scene of the Chonqing capital.

    Woah KMT banners....theres gotta be some KMT bashing goin on in that movie, maybe we'll see the Flying Tigers protrayed?

    Edit: Googled the movie.....2 Oscar winners on their cast??? No wayz!! Better not suck like the Nanjiang movie. Had to force myself to sit through that wall. The trailer seems depressing though.

    This is the same director that produced the "Nanking movie" lol and the story will be based on a novel.

    Interesting. We will see how long those banners stay up. Last I knew the only place that ROC and KMT flages and symbols were hung in public was in Nanjing in the old Presidential Palace.
